Buyers and suppliers of jewellery and gemstones satisfied with the exhibition’s performance: The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, staged from 21 to 27 September at Hong Kong’s leading exhibition centers, was a great success due to a new hall and exhibit arrangement, surprisingly strong attendance and most satisfying trade activities. With 3,061 exhibitors and exhibits on 120,000 square meters the Fair was the world’s largest jewelery event in 2009. The total number of trade visitors was up 5 percent to 39,146 – despite the difficult economic climate in the jewelery industry.
